Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your Roshni ka Safar account and the data linked to it at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what is removed.
How to request deletion
Email imatifdar@gmail.com
from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”.
We’ll confirm and remove your account, normally within 7 days and no later than
30 days.
You don’t need to give a reason. If you email from a different address, we may ask a question to confirm you own the account before deleting it.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove from our database:
- your account (email, password hash and display name);
- your reflections and any private notes;
- your reading progress and last-read position;
- your quiz scores;
- your notifications;
- your sign-in tokens;
- your logged link taps.
What is not affected
- The Qur’an text, translations and quizzes stay in the app — they aren’t your personal data and reading never requires an account.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. Deleting your Roshni ka Safar account does not cancel a Google Play purchase or request a refund; for that, use Google Play.
- We may keep minimal records where the law requires (for example, a record that a deletion request was made).
Prefer to keep your account?
If you only want to remove something you posted, you can delete an individual reflection yourself from within the reader, without deleting your whole account.
